One step closer to WHITE XMAS..

Had been expecting snow..but seems like the weather forecast here is as inaccurate as in anywhere else..

When i looked out of my window after waking up..i was shocked..

NOPE!!there's NO SNOW..:P

For a split second..i tot there's been snow..but after observing for a while, it seems to be thick fog only..

Anyway..i still think its kinda beautiful...therefore the few quickshots..

Lately i felt tat i dun have enuf time..

after completing the intro for my report..i've to prepare for my presentations on wednesday..
kinda stuck with my case..still figuring why they choose to use A drug instead of B drug..etc etc..and i havent started searching journals to support the drug choice yet....thanks to my lecturer who keeps asking for more info..

aiyah..as usual..i do things at last minute again..my poor brain is SOOOOO overload!!

i look exactly like tat nw..a walking zombie/ robot sitting in front of my com for hours..HAHA!!

omg..tomorrow im going to go thru wat i've been doing today again..such a nitemare...

havent been updating my blog for quite a while..before going to work..was planning to ramble about hw i went through this week on my blog..

changed my mind nw..all those torturing moments in writing report doesnt seem to matter to me..at least for nw..:P..

IM EXCITED.......hahahaha!!!

2day i did waitressing at city halls again..and it was FUN and enjoyable for me..as usual, i get to see loving old couples, serve happy and friendly ppl, see them enjoyed themselves walking around toking to each other..see them dancing freely to the music after dinner..

BUT..most importantly..i SAW and SERVED STEPHEN KING......WahaHAHAhahA...

before the dinner started, when i was busy walking around the place..suddenly i saw STEPHEN KING's name on one of the tables that i was assigned to serve..OMG...i rili cant belif my luck!! was looking at all the guests eagerly after that..trying hard to visualise his face from the novels that i've read..hmm...some of the photos that he had was taken during his younger times..excitedly told the others bout it..but i was scared that i couldnt spot him..

HOWEVER.. the moment he stepped in..i immediately recognised him!!!!!!!and he actually sat at another table....luckily that table was also served by my team...woooohooooo...

anyway..cos we worked as a team, so practically we need to serve many tables..and we cant choose which table or who we wanna serve..have to follow our supervisor's instructions and all that..but its all FATE!!! i actually got to serve him a few times..hehehehehe..*cant stop smiling until nw*..

and when i collected his plates (for 2 times u noe??!!:P)..he did look at me for bout 3 secs..smiled..and said "thank you" to me..arghhhhh....i have so many dialogues racing around in my head....wanted to tell him im a fan of his..ok i admit that i din read so many of his books. for those few that i read, i totally love it e.g the green mile,the dead zone etc..oh...and hw "IT" became all our childhood nitemare..etc etc...

bt nothing came out from my mouth!!!arghhhhh........i think i only managed to blurt out"you're welcome" and smiled politely to him...*Sigh sigh sigh.......*feel like kicking myself......

nvm...im satisfied nw..hehehe..told suokteng and sc to watch out for him on table 25 also..sc said she can sense he got certain "feel" that other ppl dun have..很有煞气 and rili look like somebody who writes horror stories..lol..

whereas suokteng asked me whether the woman beside him is his wife..erm...ya hor..onli then i looked at the lady again from far cos i have no idea hw she looks like..haha..my focus was on him obviously!!

haih..i noe i sound crazy nw..:P..hehehehe...

yup yup...he looks exactly like this..eh no..in fact i think he looks more bergaya tonite..not as big size as i've imagined though..:)

Monday was kha hong's birthday..so we went to Chukoku - a chinese buffet restaurant to celebrate kha hong, suokteng and hui koon's birthdays..the food there was simply delicious!!!i LUV the dessert..the 13 of us ate for 3 hours..and took lots of pics..

Yesterday..

we had sarawak laksa for brunch!!:P..thanks to suechoo who woke up early to prepare the food and also thanks to mum who brought laksa paste for us..hehe..it was VERY delicious!!

after that..we brought glen to kelvingrove museum..

and with glen's canggih camera..we had lotsa fun taking pics non-stop..(esp suokteng..cant stop taking pics of herself..tsk tsk..)

Hunterian Museum is located inside the University of Glasgow..it shows the collection of Dr William Hunter, a scientist..doctor and a collector..was our 1st time visiting that museum..and in fact i find it kinda interesting..

we oso met up with syed who is currently studying in University of Glasgow..

then..we went to the asian style restaurant highly recommended by paikling and housemates..

had been looking forward to this meal the whole day..

BUT..when we went all the way there...hungry and cold..

THE SHOP WAS CLOSED due to electricity prob!!!!haha..we stood there watching in disbelief for a few seconds..*kinda disappointed*

so we went to o'neil instead..

while waiting for our food...

and at nite..we sent glen off to buchanan bus station..as usual..we'd to walk super fast again so tat he wont miss the bus back to london..

so tat was basically the summary of our short but memorable holidays..:)

ahteng and kha hong..hopefully u 2 enjoyed ur burfdays...cos i surely did..HAPPY BURFDAY again and stay happy..:)

and thanks to glen and alice..the presence of u 2 for the celebration of suokteng and kha hong's birthdays mean a lot to us..it was really fun..reminds me a lot about the funny things that we've been through together..kinda amazed me that its been 5 years since we've known each other..

alice told me that she missed us a lot after she left..and i felt the same way too..

cant wait to meet up with u guys again..:)

suokteng and kha hong's birthdays..

alice came on friday nite from aberdeen as a surprise for suokteng and kha hong's birthdays..

when she was about to reach the bus stop, i sneaked out of the house to pick her up. Before going out, i was so scared that they'll sense that something was on..so after preparing everything..i used the fastest speed to run out of the apartment so that they wont have the chance to ask me where i was going..met up with alice and sc (after her work) at the bus station.. so when we reached the house..kh and st were both SHOCKED to see alice (yay!!even kha hong din suspect that alice was coming). st even shouted in disbelief..

but the sad thing was..just when i was expecting them to say "hey..no wonder lah..i was wondering where u went jz nw..etc etc".. instead...they said.."WHAT??did u go out just nw??i din even realise u went out.." and i actually took the effort to rush out..*faint*

practically spent the next day on shopping..sat was oso d day when Scotland football team played against italy..so we could see all the scottish fans singing and cheering along the street during the day..and the match actually started on 5 pm..sc, alice and kh successfully bought winter jacket..too bad i still couldnt find something suitable for me...

watched my 1st ever movie in glasgow cinema, was rili excited cos back in m'sia watching movie in the cinema was one of my favourite pastime!!we chose to watch "american gangster" starred by denzel washington and russell crowe..both are really good actors..it was based on true story, portraying a black gangster who smuggled drugs into the country in American service planes returning from the Vietnam War. At the height of his career he was even more powerful than the Mafia when it came to dope dealing! anyway..i think the movie was definitely worthwhile to watch..:)

on sunday, it was suokteng's birthday..so we prepared some simple meal and invited the others to come over..

haha..cute smiley face..and peifong and yishan din notice the smiley face on the cake!!

finally..the secrets were revealed..

knew that alice was coming for suokteng and kha hong's birthday more than a month ago, and glen confirmed that he would reach glasgow on sun evening..since then i was trying hard to keep the secret, which was obviously a very difficult thing for me..and oso for the others..

a few stories to share..

me, sc and kh were chatting in kitchen and we were planning on wat cake to make for their birthday..sc suggested sumthing..

and without realising i mentioned that glen wil probably like it..

SHYT..felt like kicking myself (sc actually KICKED me from under the table)

both of us froze for a while..and then tried to act normal by crapping..

(we tot we were successful in acting...until kha hong told us that from that incident, she oledi sensed that glen would come all the way from london...oouch!!im sure our acting werent that bad..just that she's way too observant and smart)

after alice reached on friday nite, we were revealing to them that hw hard it was for us to keep the secret for more than a month!!

sc happily said, 'that ming ying larr...that day oledi nearly bocor rahsia..she...'

i was thinking...hey..the onli time i nearly said the secret was when i tok about glen during the time we were in the kitchen..

obviously sc was thinking the same thing too..she swallowed back her words and for a second or two..she remained quiet..then later she had to create a new story to cover up..HAHAHA..padan muka!!

the funniest story happened on sunday afternoon when the others gathered around in our house..

yi shan: so wat time is glen coming later??

me, alice and sc: SHOCKED and SPEECHLESS..

within seconds..we acted normal.."wat??glen is coming??how come we dunno and u noe??"

sc pinched yi shan hard..and she realised that she said wrongly and started laughing..

pf the blur god still dunno wats happening.."yah..he's coming..XXX told us..u guys dunno meh?" we panically tried to crap and come up with a ridiculous story(a fake scandal) about glen to distract st and kh's attraction..

everyone else acted along (even those who din noe that glen was coming knew by then and tried their best to help, luckily suokteng was too blur to notice)..trying to act kepo and kept asking..

instead of tricking suokteng , blur god peifong pulak kena tipu..

she actually BELIEVED our ridiculous story and kept asking yishan to tell us more about glen's "scandal"
at some point..she pointed at yishan..OH!!!u BOCOR RAHSIA!!!" wahhhh..rili feel like whacking her..haha!!everyone else tried to cover up and she still dunno wat happened..

suilin who was beside her pinched her and stared hard at her..and she turned and ask.."why r u keep looking at me??why pinch me??"

until kha hong couldnt continue to act as if she din noe about this plan..and asked her to just remain quiet and dun speak again..

the blur gal obviously still couldnt get it and after a while..suilin had to pull her out and explain to her from a to z inside the toilet..:P

and as time goes by..we kept saying the wrong things and tried to cover up..stress level increasing..haha.

and since alice's bus back to aberdeen was at 645pm and glen's bus to glasgow would reach at 530..we've to reach buchanan bus station at around 530..
we told suokteng that alice's bus was at 545pm..since suokteng was the onli person still in the dark..we were all very relaxed and walked slowly to the bus station..

whereas st dragged alice and walked super fast..

poor alice..in the attempt to slow down suokteng..she turned and asked us.."hey..did i tell u it was 545pm or 555pm??"..

we just showed the confused face and replied...ermm..not sure..keji suechoo even answered.."i think it was 545pm lar!!"WAHAHA!!

after we reached the bus station...alice had to continue acting as if she was too blur and searched for the piece of the paper that wrote the time..and acted surprise to see it was actually 645 instead of 545pm..

and finally....glen appeared from behind and shocked suokteng..haha!!
apparently suokteng is also a super blur gal..she never suspected anything (even after the afternoon incident when everyone kept bocor rahsia..)

so finally..the secrets were revealed..too bad alice and glen could only meet up for about an hour before she went back to aberdeen..

trying to act cool..:P

btw..ahteng can rili come out with sudden situation that we never tot of..before this, she said she wanna go aberdeen this weekend..so we had to come out with excuses to block her from going..after that, we'd an offer to work on sat nite..and ahteng kept persuading us to work..

so have to tell more lies so that she wont suspect anything..

phew..im just glad that i dun have to keep secret about frens coming for the weekend anymore..its so difficult.....!!:P

FRUSTRATED...

wats the WORST NITEMARE for a student?

im experiencing it NOW... !@#@$%!!!

on monday, i've a presentation about my research project, and until this moment, after browsing and reading thru articles, i still cant find enough useful information, which means the articles that i've read so far are kinda irrelevant and im still searching for THE ONE that suits wat my lecturer wants..:(

to make things worse, the lamp in my room just ROSAK!!!so nw i can only depend solely on my tablelamp..and 2moro's sunday..which means the earliest that i can find someone to fix the lamp is ..MONDAY?!!!

so this is me nw..

frustrated..geram..keksim..scheisse...ARGGGHH!!

looks like some character in the horror movie trying to find my next victim thru internet..

Today i went to work with kahyie and weimeng, with no idea that Im going to be witnessing the historical moment!!!!

Since we were here in glasgow, there were lots of big posters, programmes, advertisements etc stating that glasgow is bidding to host the Commonwealth Games. Therefore, I noe today is the day that the host of 2014 Commonwealth Games will be announced, but i did not imagine that the place that i would be working (at the old fruitmarket/city hall)..was the place where about 1000 ppl including school children, athletes and politicians gathered to watch the announcement live from Columbo, Sri Lanka. There were also other performances by singers from scotland and other traditional scottish music..Before reaching the city hall, we saw lots of ppl outside, e.g the crew from bbc scotland..skytv...etc..preparing for direct telecast later, so u can imagine hw grand the event was..

Was a bit nervous at first cos i havent had any job since i went for trip..but lucky me!! today's work was pretty simple..ya i still need to carry stuff etc, but my main job was just pouring tea and coffee for all those who came to us..and when i mean pouring..i rili poured endless cups of coffee and tea for many hours.( at least few hundred cups!!) the ppl kept coming non-stop, but as usual, the crowd was frenly and joyful, e.g always thanking us, and some that came for 2nd or 3rd cup of coffee actually recognised my face,haha!! so basically it was fun and i enjoyed it..[excluding the part where kahyie and i kena scolded cos we ate AFTER we finished our job, which makes no sense at all..but nvmlar, my mood wont be spoilt bcos of some stupid #$%$]

at around half past twelve, everyone was inside the hall, so kahyie and i went to have a peep at the crowd..and we were just in time to witness the announcement!! As expected, glasgow won the right to host 2014 Commonwealth Games, by securing 47 votes against 24 for Abuja out of a total of 71 member countries..upon the announcement, the crowd went wild and the cheer was deafening!!!everyone started hugging each other and was rili excited...omg..i was pretty excited too when i witnessed this..

all the happy expressions and endless cheering when the results was annouced..

Autumn in my heart..

Inspired by our other coursemates, we too decided to have our little photography session today, at Glasgow Green before the autumn ends..
